Micah Ashley Alford, 26, from League City, Texas was apprehended at Ritz Cabaret, where she was applying for a job, investigators said. She had a felony warrant for her arrest on charges of child endangerment and abandonment. Galveston County Precinct 8 Deputy Constables said they received information that Alford delivered a baby five days ago, which she eventually confirmed. Deputies said Alford's probation was revoked when she failed a drug test when she was 5 months pregnant. When deputies asked Alford where her baby was, she had no idea, officials said. Shortly after police put out an alert for the baby, two women called saying they had him. They told investigators another woman gave them the baby and he had no milk or diapers at that time, but they went and bought those items.Officers had been searching for the newborn for four days. Records show that this is Alford's fourth child and that the other three were taken away by child protective services. Her bond has been set at $100,000.

Costly-The $1m car crash (it involves a blonde)

Expensive crash

YOU probably couldn't find a worse place in the world to crash your car than outside Monaco's Place du Casino in the middle of the summer." Tourists should take note of this warning from the editor of motoring website Autogespot before attempting to navigate the packed playground of the world's richest people.Particularly if they're driving a $370,000 Bentley. And, dare we say it, particularly if they're blonde. Not that blonde women can't drive. We'd never say that. It's just that, unfair as it may seem, blondes just happen to attract a disproportionate slab of negative attention when it comes to well, blonde moments, and really, extra care is needed if, um.... Okay, we'll stop digging now.Start of sidebar. Let's just say a non-gender specific person of unconfirmed natural hair colour turned a parade of some of the world's most expensive cars into a demolition derby when they scraped their Bentley against a $111,000 Mercedes S class. And that was just the start. Before we go on, here's the result:

How-Dangling Fake testicles get woman in trouble

CHARLESTON, South Carolina — The police chief of a small South Carolina town will ask a jury to decide if a woman broke the state's obscenity laws by driving a pickup truck with plastic testicles hanging from the back. Bonneau Police Chief Franco Fuda ticketed Virginia Tice, 65, in early July at a local convenience store after spying the adornment dangling from her truck.

South Carolina law considers a bumper sticker, decal or device indecent when it describes, in an offensive way as determined by contemporary community standards, "sexual acts, excretory functions, or parts of the human body."

The offense carries a maximum fine of $445 but no jail time, Fuda said."This is certainly not a staple of my ticket writing in Bonneau," the police chief told Reuters on Wednesday. The Charleston law firm Savage & Savage will represent Tice for free, attorney Scott Bischoff said. The trial had been scheduled for next week but was delayed because the defendant will be out of town."She's such a sweet lady and she just says 'I don't want to pay the fine.' We'll let a jury decide whether this is really criminal behavior. I don't want to take away from the importance of free speech, but it's really comical," he said.

Resembles-Kitten who looks like Hitler a U.K. hit

Hitler kitten Kitler

An animal shelter in England has been inundated with phone calls from cat-lovers interested in adopting a kitten that many claim resembles Adolf Hitler and Charlie Chaplin. According to the Wood Green shelter, the six-week-old kitten, who sports a tiny patch of black hair around her nose like a moustache, has garnered the nicknames "Kitler" and "Charlie Cat-lin" since arriving at the shelter on July 22. Six-week-old Luminums, "as she prefers to be known," according to shelter staff, "loves nothing more than getting up to mischief like any other kitten and is completely oblivious of her new found fame."

The cat will be available for adoption soon, they say. But Luminous is just one cat of many who's been compared.

Change-Now Guys take up pole dancing (video)

With swords and shields, the pair are recreating the Roman gladiator games. ‘We want to create as much as we can the spectacle of the games that took place 1,900 years ago – though obviously we’re not allowed to kill each other,’ said Mrs Shadrake. Our swords and shield won’t be sharp but there will still be a fair amount of violence on display.

‘With women gladiators, it’s all about skill and bravery rather than sheer brute strength. And it’s all about keeping the crowd entertained, of course.’

Weird-Workers' compensation Claim after being injured while having sex on a business trip

A PUBLIC servant injured while having sex with an acquaintance at a motel while on a work trip was entitled to compensation, a judge has been told. The woman's barrister, Leo Grey, said sex was ``an ordinary incident of life'' commonly undertaken in a motel room at night, just like sleeping or showering. The woman, who cannot be named, is challenging the rejection of her workers' compensation claim for facial and psychological injuries suffered when a glass light fitting came away from the wall above the bed as she was having sex in November 2007.In the Federal Court in Sydney yesterday, Mr Grey said the woman's employer had sent her to spend the night at a NSW rural motel ahead of a departmental meeting. Andrew Berger, for ComCare, said sex was not``an ordinary incident of an overnight stay like showering, sleeping or eating''.Justice John Nicholas described the case as ``by no means easy'' and is yet to deliver his finding.

Idea-Free Pot for registering to vote

A medical marijuana shop's offer of free pot in exchange for registering to vote appears to have gone up in smoke.  Healthy Choice Clinic of Lansing, Mich., had been offering a half gram on its website ahead of a vote for city council seats and after the council approved capping the number of medical marijuana dispensaries within city limits and setting a $1,000 application fee.Clinic owner Shekina Pena earlier said she wasn't trying to buy votes. "We really got to fight to get the voters out there because the polls are showing there's 4-5,000 people in Lansing that are patients or caregivers," she told NBC affiliate WILX TV. "So we need those 4-5,000 people to come forth to the polls and vote for whomever they feel is in support of what they want for access." "We let them know how we feel, we don't tell them who to vote for," she added. "We definitely want to support the ones (city council members) who are supporting us."On Wednesday, the state's attorney general, at the prodding of a state senator, said he was looking into whether the clinic crossed a legal line.

Dumber-Jail guard guilty of smuggling saw in taco

world's longest bike Colin Furze

Measuring an incredible 22 metres (72ft) long, the converted 125cc scooter took a month build and can carry up to 25 people on board. Colin Furze, 31, assembled it in his mum's backyard in attempt to gain another Guinness World Record. The Linconshire plumber already holds the record for the fastest mobility scooter, which he built and designed to hit a remarkable 71mph.

To set the record he took the behemoth to the Saltby Airfield in Granthan and rode it for a mile along the runway hitting a top speed of 35mph. 'When I first got on it I thought it would never work and at a slow speed it's almost impossible to keep upright,' explained Collin after the stunt.'But once you get going it becomes a bit easier, although it is a real strain on your arms as it has such heavy steering.'It wobbled a huge amount as I drove along and apparently the back of the bike was weaving around all over the place.

A man sold his kidney for £ 12,300 and spent the cash on an engagement ring for his lover only for her to dump him in the Ukraine.Street Journal has discovered that organ sales have become lucrative business in certain parts of the world since the global economic recession. For instance, in Britain it is no longer surprising to find kidneys being advertised for sale on the internet. Some even specify that would be buyers should be ready to pay at least £1,000 for hotel bills abroad, plus plane ticket and £1,200 to cover lost wages since most British surgeons are unwilling to perform such operations for legal reasons and the risk involved. Investigations revealed that kidneys are at times sold for as much as £25,000. Though most sellers agree that greed and the zeal to pay off their debts are the main motivating factors, they also claim the move could help save lives of those in need of the organs.

Bus with no back wheels in China

Thinking that it was just a pot hole that had damaged the buses suspension, 48-year-old driver Shi Shao continued puttering along until worried passengers rang the bell and notified him that the entire back end was scraping along the ground. With sparks flying from the undercarriage Mr Shi immediately stopped in the middle of a busy road to wait for a tow truck. However, as a result the bus brought rush hour traffic in the city of Shaoyang to a standstill. When police arrived at the scene naturally they couldn't believe their eyes and found the two detached wheels a considerable distance behind the brightly coloured bus.Luckily no one was hurt in the accident, but there may have been some pride lost by the driver and the mechanics located back at the depot.

Why-Professor wins bad writing award

A University of Wisconsin Oshkosh associate professor has won top prize for her cringe-inducing prose.

Sue Fondrie won the 2011 Bulwer-Lytton Fiction Contest -- an annual award that challenges entrants to compose bad opening sentences to imaginary novels. The contest takes its name from the Victorian novelist Edward George Bulwer-Lytton, who began his Paul Clifford with, "It was a dark and stormy night."

At just 26 words, Fondrie's submission is the shortest grand prize winner in the contest's history, "proving that bad writing need not be prolix, or even very wordy," officials said.
"Cheryl's mind turned like the vanes of a wind-powered turbine, chopping her sparrow-like thoughts into bloody pieces that fell onto a growing pile of forgotten memories," Fondrie's offending sentence reads.
Fondrie is the 29th person to win the price since it was started at San Jose State University in 1982. There are also winners named in separate categories including fantasy, romance, adventure and sci-fi.Most entrants are Americans, but two Canadians were given "dishonourable mentions" this year. Vancouver writer Basil McDonnell was recognized in the crime category.

How-Tourists find loaded gun in rental car

A tourist from Texas called Victoria, B.C., and police after discovering a gun and ammunition in his rental car. Police said the man had rented the Chrysler 300 in Seattle and drove across the border. The man had to change a flat tire in a hotel parking lot Sunday morning and that's when he found the Glock 27 .40 calibre pistol and three loaded magazines in the wheel well of the car. The man and his wife, a Dallas couple in their 50s, called police. The gun didn't register in the Canadian database and police alerted their Seattle counterparts. Victoria police said the Glock 27 is a subcompact pistol commonly used by law enforcement, but it is also favoured by criminals because it's smaller and easily concealed. The handgun is a prohibited firearm in Canada due to its shortened barrel length.

Wow-Girls strip to support Putin as president

About 20 young women stripped to their bras in central Moscow on Friday to show their support for Prime Minister Vladimir Putin to return as Russia’s president. Putin has not said whether he will run in next year’s presidential election but the women, who had pink flowers in their hair, jumped around in a central Moscow square before removing white T-shirts showing a rose-coloured portrait of him.

“We want to see him as our president in the future. We want to support him by using all possible means and this is one of them,” said Inna, a member of “Putin’s Army,” a movement that urges women to show support for Putin by removing their clothes. “Putin! Putin! Putin!” the women screamed to a small crowd of men who stopped to watch them. A day earlier, bikini-clad students washed cars for free at Moscow State University, advertising the service by using a play on words involving Putin’s initials.

The saluki breed pet was out with owner Andrew Griffiths on a shopping trip in Bakewell, Derbyshire, when she apparently saw a picture of the famous Hollywood star outside a local store. Suddenly she went into this pose, it was as though she knew I had my camera with me.'Asked if the Monroe's four-legged equivalent enjoys the attention, like all good Hollywood starlets he added: 'I think she does. To be honest, she can be a bit of a blonde.'

Salukis are also known as the Royal Dog of Egypt, which could explain six-year-old Kizzie's high aspirations.
