"It was making people gossip," said one town hall employee who asked not to be named. "Remarks were made, during weddings for example." Mayor Gerard Cordon persuaded councillors to approve 900 euros (1,280 dollars) in this year's budget to buy a replacement, a more conventional bust of Marianne modelled on the statuesque French model Laetitia Casta. The artist, who made the rejected bust, Catherine Lamacque, said she gave it outsized breasts deliberately, "to symbolise the generosity of the Republic." The town hall bought her terracotta statue in 2007 for 1,400 euros.
Surprise-Hen turns cock after undergoing gender-bending sex change after 'she' stops laying eggs
WHEN an egg-laying hen started crowing at dawn, her owners wondered why she was acting so cocky...
It turns out pet “Gertie” had had a sudden, eggs-traordinary sex change.Great-grandparents Jim Howard, 76, and his wife Jeanette, 79, thought it odd that Gertie had begun bossing around their other hens, Daisy and Grace, and had stopped laying eggs. But they were stunned when the gender-bending hen grew a red comb and wattle, and started to cock-a-doodle-do.
Great-gran Jeanette explained: “They were all laying eggs until the end of last year. Over winter I didn’t take much notice, then one day I heard this noise coming from Gertie. She’d started cock-a-doodle-doing and was strutting around. I’ll have to start calling him Bertie.”Jim, a retired delivery company manager from Needingworth, Cambs, added: “It must be odd for her or him.”
Victoria Roberts, of the Poultry Club of Great Britain, said the changes are extremely rare. She added they happen to one in 10,000 chickens when a hen’s ovary is damaged and testosterone levels soar.

What-Teacher's Topless photos found by students
An art teacher at a posh British boy’s school who posed topless for photos in her classroom is distraught after those photos fell into the hands of her students and were quickly circulated, local media reports.
The Daily Mail has published the photos of Joanne Salley, a former model and TV personality, wearing just tight blue jeans as she leans against bookshelves. The photos were believed to have been taken by another teacher in an empty classroom. The newspaper reports the images were discovered after a memory stick was left in the school's photo lab.
