TWO women are due in court today on cannabis possession charges after one of them repeatedly set off a metal detector at an airport in New Zealand , allegedly leading to the discovery of foil-wrapped cannabis in her bra.
The woman, 52, had 50g of the drug in 28 individually wrapped packages in her underwear, police told The Southland Times.A 44-year-old female friend travelling with her was then spoken to by police at Queenstown Airport - and it was discovered she also had about 40g of the illicit drug concealed about her body.
The women were attempting to catch a plane to Christchurch , about 480 km north-east on the South Island , when apprehended.

Police in Kitchener, Ont., say officers arrested a woman Sunday who was driving while only partially dressed and with a pet bird flying loose in her car. At , Waterloo Regional Police said the 58-year-old woman was driving down a street while continuously blowing her horn. Concerned for the driver's well-being, police tried to pull the car over. But police say the car didn't stop and hit a city bus and then another vehicle before officers were able to arrest the driver.No one was injured. Police said the driver wasn't going at an excessive speed and alcohol wasn't a factor.The driver was taken to hospital for assessment.Humane society officials caught the bird and are now caring for it.

An Oregon mailman has been suspended for making an unwanted delivery.The postman was captured on camera by a Portland homeowner as he defecated in a yard near some bushes Wednesday while on his postal route, KGW-TV reported.
Don Derfler saw the shocking act through his living room window."He started pulling his pants down and started defecating, and at that point I grabbed my camera and started to take pictures," Derfler told the local news station.
He was baffled by the incident."This is how they respect our property?" he said. "It's just not right, and it's also a biohazard."
