Surprise-Man arrested after cash and pot thrown from rooftop
Money may not grow on trees, but for some people in Victoria , B.C., it did fall from the sky. Police were called around Thursday after reports a man was throwing cash and marijuana from a rooftop. A witness collected more than $1,340 in $20 bills and, while handing it over to police, estimated it was about a third of the money thrown from the roof."Several other people collected the cash and marijuana and made off," police said in a release. Officers went to the rooftop to investigate and found more marijuana and cash. Through the window of an adjoining apartment, police saw a large sum of cash on a kitchen table and a man who matched the description of the person who threw the drugs and money from the roof. The man climbed out of the apartment and onto the roof to talk with officers."He admitted that the marijuana and money were his, but offered no explanation for his odd behaviour," police said. Inside the apartment, officers found an additional $2,500 and about two pounds of marijuana.
Man-Dog-Cops Bitten During Arrest
A "heavily intoxicated" man allegedly bit three officers during a scuffle in a Victoria , B.C., pub, and police say. The officers were outside the pub around Sunday when they heard the man inside "yelling, swearing and (he) was heavily intoxicated." Police said the man was so loud; the officers were drawn inside to investigate. When officers approached the man, he went into the washroom. After his bathroom break, police said he became argumentative, then combative and began fighting with the officers. "He bit one officer on the knee, one on the leg, and another on the arm. The bite to the knee broke the skin and required a tetanus shot, and another officer injured his hand in the fight," police said in a release. Michael David Hill, 23, is facing three charges of assault of a police officer and one charge of causing a disturbance.

Car-bike - half a Renault Clio and half a motorbike - invented... then banned
Markus Sell, from Jonschwil in Switzerland , turned heads on his first trip out with his magnificent machine, which sees the driver sitting on the back passenger seat of the Clio while steering using the front wheel of a bike. The seating arrangements probably weren't what caught the eye, though - more the fact that he was reaching speeds of up to 70mph.
But his maiden voyage was cut short when he was pulled over by traffic cops. The police gave him short shrift when he was spotted riding (or is it driving?) - Mainly because he was breaking so many laws all at once, and because they couldn't actually tell what it was. 'It wasn't taxed, insured or tested. In fact, we weren't even sure it was a car or a motorbike,' one officer said. 'He's a talented mechanic but he should stick to racetracks.'
Sell is apparently set to go back to the drawing board in order to invent something similar but hopefully roadworthy and legal, this time.
