BUDAPEST - Hungary has produced a provocative video advertisement to encourage more people to fill out its national census online next month. In a video posted on social networking sites on Wednesday, a topless young woman in red underwear, lacy black stockings and holding a whip opens the door to a census taker, who, realizing he has arrived at an inopportune moment — offers her the option of completing the census online. “We want to reach the younger generation as well, and the internet is more for this generation, it uses their language,” Imre Dobossy, a top communications official at the Central Statistics Office (KSH) told Reuters.

The last time Hungarians were counted was 10 years ago, and this will be first time they will be able to fill out the questionnaire online. More than 37,000 census takers will collect data nationwide in October, the KSH said on its official census website http://www.nepszamlalas.hu/index.php?langcode-en.

A Florida school may be going from glee club by day to nightclub after dark.The Balere Language Academy in Miami -- a charter school for kindergarten through Grade 8 with an A rating from Florida's education department -- is the address noted on flyers advertising the "Push It To Da Limit" party supposed to take place Saturday, reports the Orlando Sentinel. And it's not the first after-hours party believed to have been held there.Parents, tipped off by empty beer bottles and the lingering smell of smoke at their children's school, started complaining to the school district last week, the report says.They had also noticed the racy flyers featuring a scantily clad woman and a man sitting on a huge pile of money.The Miami-Dade County School District wrote the academy, reminding the board the property is zoned for a school, not a nightclub.Balere's lawyer, Marlon Hill, told the paper the school is investigating.

PETERBOROUGH, Ont. — A 55-year-old woman has pleaded guilty after she intentionally bumped into someone she knew on the sidewalk, smearing blood on them from an open cut on her arm. Patsy Dafoe pleaded guilty to assault Tuesday and got time-served and probation. Dafoe bumped into the person July 6 before causing a disturbance in several downtown businesses, court heard.

She had spent 28 days in jail since her arrest and was placed on probation for one year.

D'IBERVILLE, Miss. — A man in southern Mississippi is accused of trying to walk out of a D'Iberville grocery store without paying for food items he'd stuffed into his cargo shorts including live lobsters. Police Chief Wayne Payne says 35-year-old Nathan Mark Hardy was arrested Saturday after allegedly being caught stuffing food into his cargo shorts — two bags of jumbo shrimp, a pork loin and two live lobsters.Payne says Hardy, of Biloxi, tried to escape by throwing the pork loin at employees at the local Winn Dixie but fell while running away. He was arrested at the scene.The shoplifting charge is a misdemeanor, but Hardy remained jailed Wednesday in the Harrison County jail with no bond pending a hearing on a probation violation.

The silly moose suffered the fate of many an intoxicated human after a night of heavy drinking - and found himself in a very embarrassing predicament.Police believe the inebriated elk got into a state after eating fermented apples, and got stuck while trying to reach fruit higher up the tree.The binge-drinking beast somehow managed to wedge itself into the branches of the tree with all four legs off the ground.Fire crews had to chop down the tree to help free the animal from the branches.

The man was stopped in Zhongshan, in China's Guangdong province, after he was caught speeding through a red light and carelessly switching lanes.In a desperate attempt to escape being given a ticket, the driver slid past the officers and hid underneath his parked bus.This, in turn, forced the police to spend time getting the man out from under the low-riding bus - as impatient motorists sat in ever-increasing traffic jams around the junction.

THIEVES have succeeded in the ultimate disappearing act, making away with a magician's suitcase.

A maroon, crocodile-patterned suitcase was stolen from an unattended vehicle in Adelaide on Sunday, police say.

The suitcase contained magical tricks and props including silver magical rings, silk scarves, magical rope, a magic colouring-in book and a red waistcoat.None of the charms protected the suitcase from the unusual theft.

Holden Hill police said the suitcase was spirited away while the car was parked at a takeaway restaurant in Modbury in Adelaide's northeast.
