Two teen girls are recovering from stab wounds after getting into a fight over shoes at an Australian mall. Queensland police said the girls were both shopping in the same store at a mall in Robina — located in Queensland, 80 km south of Brisbane — Thursday around 7:45 p.m. when they got in a fight. Witnesses told the Courier-Mail newspaper the 17-year-old girl pulled a knife after she and the 16-year-old girl started fighting over a pair of shoes. Both girls were stabbed in the struggle. Neither police nor the newspaper reported what kind of shoes the girls were fighting over. Police said the girls were taken to hospital. The injuries aren't considered life- threatening.

But police said Tiffany Rent, who is eight months pregnant and had her kids in the car, ripped up a parking ticket in a Walgreens pharmacy parking lot Tuesday, threw it in the officer's face, and was warned she'd be stunned if she tried to drive away, the Chicago Tribune reports. Supt. Garry McCarthy told a news conference Wednesday the officer discharged a Taser through the window of her SUV when Rent put her car into gear. The case is being investigated by the Independent Police Review Authority, McCarthy said. Crying in an interview after she was released by police, Rent admitted parking in a handicapped spot when she stopped at the drug store and her partner went into the store, and becoming angry when the cop gave her a ticket. She said she tore up the ticket and walked away. As she was about to get into her car, the officer said she was going to be arrested. She continued to get into her car. "I got scared and I raised my window up. I didn't start my car," she told Fox News.

Other political parties condemned Ilias Kasidiaris for the assault on the two women during a morning talk show on private television station Antenna ahead of the June 17 parliamentary election. Kasidiaris, whose party entered parliament for the first time on May 6, was locked in a room at the TV studio but broke down a door and escaped, the TV host said. A public prosecutor ordered police to track him down and arrest him on charges of causing serious bodily harm, a court official said. The TV debate descended into chaos when Kasidiaris threw a glass of water at Rena Dourou, a member of the radical leftist SYRIZA party and called her a “joke”.

FREMONT, Calif. — A 20-year-old man cut off his penis using an X-Acto knife and was rushed to the hospital early Wednesday morning, a police detective said.Officers responded to a home in the 4300 block of Mowry Avenue at about 2 a.m. after the man's brother contacted police about the self-inflicted wound, Detective Bill Veteran said. Police said they did not believe the man was under the influence of drugs or alcohol.The man was taken, along with his recovered severed organ, to a hospital so that doctors could attempt to reattach it and so that the man could be psychologically evaluated, Veteran said.

But on security footage obtained by QMI Agency, he appears calm and composed as the men point at the register with their knives and demand him to open it. But as the men became more agitated and one of them tries to get behind the counter, Yang knew his life might seriously be in danger.
