Why-Man stabbed over video game

PETERBOROUGH, Ont. — A man enraged over the online videogame World of Warcraft allegedly stabbed a neighbour in the chest sending him to hospital. “I was sitting in my house today thinking ‘should I be dead or shouldn’t I?’” said Jordan Osborne, 20, on Thursday, who was hospitalized with a stab wound to his sternum. “And it’s all over a World of Warcraft game.” Osborne alleges he was stabbed when he went to his neighbour's Peterborough, Ont., apartment on Wednesday after hearing an argument. “I was telling him, there is no need for you to be freaking out about World of Warcraft. It’s just a game,” Osborne said, while his neighbour fought with a friend who was visiting and some other players over his headset. “He said, ‘It’s not just a game, it’s my life.’” That’s when the man grabbed his throat, punched him in the face and stabbed him in the chest, Osborne said. “Like they say, it takes over your life, man.”
Wow- Funeral home to open on-site Starbucks

Just because friends and family are grieving a late loved one doesn't mean they wouldn't appreciate a latte. They'll soon be able to buy one at Robinson Funeral in Easley, S.C., which announced it will open a Starbucks on its premises later this summer, reported CBS 7. Coffee has always accompanied coffins in the Robinson family business: both were for sale at the general mercantile store, established in 1875, that later became the funeral home and crematory, according to the company website. The coffee shop will be part of a new wing being added to the building. Starbucks will install the equipment later this month and the franchise is expected to open in August, the report said. Funeral-goers who eschew $5 coffee can still get the home-brewed stuff for free. And, yes, should you find yourself walking past the funeral home and craving a caffeine kick, the Starbucks will be open to the public.

When Aaron Collins died this month three weeks after his 30th birthday, he asked his family to do something special: Leave a large tip for a waiter or waitress. "Leave an awesome tip (and I don't mean 25%. I mean $500 on a f------ pizza) for a waiter or waitress," Collins, of Lexington, Ky., wrote in his last request to his family. Three days after Collins' death on July 7, his family fulfilled the wish by walking into a local pizza restaurant and, after eating, they handed the waitress $500 and told her the story.

Fear-Woman Keeps Dead Friend's Corpse for Two Years

A Michigan woman kept the corpse of her dead friend and roommate in their home for nearly two years because she did not wish to be alone, according to a report. When police officers visited the Jackson home of Linda Chase on July 6, the 71-year-old told them that she had kept the mummified body of her roommate, Charles Zigler, in a chair, the Jackson Citizen Patriot reported. Chase told the newspaper that she often talked to her silent companion and watched NASCAR races with him. She said she kept his corpse dressed and clean. “I didn't want to be alone,” Chase said. “He was the only guy who was ever nice to me." Zigler's body was discovered after concerned relatives called police. Zigler's son Walter said he had made several attempts to visit his ailing father but was refused entry by Chase.“That wasn’t right to leave him lay like that,” he told the Jackson Citizen Patriot.
