College lecture An Yanshi has collected five tons of panda excrement to create a new type of tea.

He believes the rich fertiliser will give rise to a unique aroma that will make his brew a connoisseurs' favourite, which he will be able to sell for up to £50,000 per kilo. 'Pandas have a very poor digestive system and only absorb about 30 per cent of everything they eat. That means their excrement is rich in fibres and nutrients,' Yanshi explained.

'It has a mature, nutty taste and a very distinctive aroma while it's brewing.' Yanshi, who collects the poo by the lorryload from the Giant Panda breeding centre in Chengdu, Sichuan province, southern China, aims to secure the Guinness World Record once his first batch of the expensive blend is ready for sale. The world's most expensive coffee is made from beans eaten, partly digested, and then expelled by the Indonesian civet cat. Kopi luwak, or Civet coffee, sells for up to £100 per pound.

Windham, 30, was collared on a possession rap after he was found with the painkiller Soma. The pair was cuffed and stuffed into a police cruiser for the trip to get booked. That’s when things got interesting, according to a spokesperson for Montgomery County Constable Precinct 4. NOVEMBER 11--A 10-year-old Florida girl is facing a felony charge for allegedly attacking her elementary school teacher and threatening the educator’s life. The assault, police report, was triggered when the teacher seized a bag of Halloween candy that the girl brought to class.Fifth-grader Miesha Bryant was arrested last Tuesday after an Orange County Sheriff’s Office deputy was summoned to the girl’s classroom at Zellwood Elementary School. The child is pictured in the below mug shot. According to a sheriff’s report, teacher Kelly Sanchez told investigators that she was holding the candy until the end of the day. At one point, Sanchez said, the girl “went behind her desk and took the bag of candy without her permission.” The child then began throwing pieces of candy at classmates, added Sanchez.After Sanchez again confiscated the bag of candy, the girl “started throwing items” from the teacher’s desk. While Sanchez waited for a school resource officer to arrive, a deputy reported, Miesha struck the teacher in the stomach and side and “also stated that she would kill Ms. Sanchez and her family.”

"Males with gifts increase the chances to be accepted by females and also prolong copulation duration, males without gifts are normally rejected or obtain short copulations." Albo and colleagues are still perplexed as to how the gifts benefit the mama spider or her spiderlings.

NOVEMBER 15--Police this morning released the five 911 calls placed by the Illinois man who dialed emergency dispatch operators to report that his iPhone was not working, calls that resulted in his arrest.

Michael Alan Skopec, 48, was busted last Wednesday after placing the calls to police operators in Kendall County. Pictured in the mug shot at right, Skopec explained that 911 was the only number his phone could dial. [Audio of Skopec’s calls can be found interspersed below. Please note that some of his language is NSFW.] “Why is my iPhone not working?” Skopec asked when an operator answered his first call. “This has something to do with Apple, I don’t know,” he added.
