SARNIA, Ont. — A local man with an obsession for spanking women who "misbehaved" has been sentenced to 11 months in jail.Gary William Cameron, 54, was sentenced Monday after previously pleading guilty to eight charges including assault, assault causing bodily harm, sexual assault and a court-order violation.The offences occurred between 2009 and April.

Three of the women stayed as boarders at Cameron’s home and were struggling to survive on government assistance. When they broke the "house rules" he subjected them to spankings.Assistant Crown attorney Randy Evans described it as sexual fetish-type activity, noting Cameron told one woman to, “Put out or get out.”Had the case proceeded to trial, the women’s consent would have been an issue, said defence lawyer Ken Marley. However, with the guilty pleas, Cameron acknowledged there were times his actions exceeded the consent he’d been given, Marley added.Some of the spankings left bruises, and one teenager cried following what Cameron described as an “ass-tanning.”Each spanking featured a number of hits that matched the women’s ages, and some involved spanking their exposed buttocks.A fourth victim encountered Cameron through a telephone chatline and agreed to spend a weekend at his home. He spanked her with a slipper.“I want to apologize to those I have hurt. I never intended to hurt them. It was my intention to help them,” Cameron said.Following his arrest for a 2010 offence, Cameron was released on bail with the condition he not access Internet chatlines.

His criminal record included a prior assault conviction, and his record was considered in a joint submission from Crown and defence lawyers for the 11-month sentence. (QMI).

Wow-L.A. could vote on porn star condom use

If an HIV awareness organization has its way, the people of Los Angeles will vote on whether porn stars shooting videos in the city have to wear condoms. Michael Weinstein, president of the AIDS Healthcare Foundation, told the Los Angeles Times the group has collected 64,000 signatures. It

only needs 41,000 to put the issue before voters in June, but first, the city has to validate the signatures. "We had a very easy time getting these signatures," Weinstein said. "Aross lines -- Democrat and Republican, men and women. Everyone understood this was an issue of worker protection." The local porn industry objects to the measure, arguing it already does regular STD testing on its actors. "History has shown us that regulating sexual behaviour between consenting adults does not work," Diane Duke, director of the Free Speech Coalition, an adult-industry lobby group, told the Times. "The best way to prevent the transmission of HIV and other (sexually transmitted diseases) is by providing quality information and sexual health services." (QMI)

An Alabama sex store is offering free sex toys in a holiday campaign called Toys for Tots and Ta-Tas. "It's a good old fashioned toy drive complete with our very own dirty Santa and his sexy Mrs. Claus," Pleasures' owner Sherri Williams said in a release. "This event will be fun for adults of all ages." For every children's toy collected this Saturday, the donator will receive a free adult toy and the store will also donate a dollar to the Save the Ta-Tas program, a breast cancer organization. Bad-Store manager accused of sending teen lurid texts

TORONTO — A Mississauga, Ont., store manager is charged with sex-related offences after a 17-year-old male employee received lurid text messages.Peel police said they're concerned there could be other young people who could be victims of similar tactics but haven't reported it.

The suspect apparently worked at a number of retail outlets, police said.Police said the teen began receiving the text messages shortly after being hired to work at Crocs in Square One Shopping Mall.Over the course of a week, the victim received several sexually explicit messages, allegedly including a solicitation, a source said.The teen contacted police on Nov. 28 and the suspect was arrested the following day.Jay Brass, 48, of Vaughan, Ont., is charged with sexual exploitation, luring a child under 18 and prostitution of a person under 18.Brass is scheduled to appear in Brampton, Ont., court on Jan. 9. The controversial porn domain .xxx went on sale Tuesday despite a lawsuit by two adult entertainment industry giants. ICM Registry, which will administrate the new domain, touts it as a safer and more distinct alternative to traditional domains such as .com or .ca. The idea is that websites registered with the domain are clearly distinguishable as porn sites. What's more, security firm McAfee scans each .xxx site daily for malware, making them "among the safest on the Internet," according to ICM. As well, sites will come with a MetaCert electronic Family Safety label, so users can easily restrict access to pornographic sites by adjusting their browser settings. "While adult entertainment is enjoyable to many adults, it is not appropriate for all audiences. We created .xxx to address the unique needs of the online adult entertainment industry," said Stuart Lawley, CEO of ICM Registry. Some 250 million pages of content have already been labelled under the new system, but at least two major players in the porn industry prefer to keep their money shots at their usual URLs. Manwin Industries and Digital Playground have launched a lawsuit against ICM and the Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN), which oversees web addresses. (QMI).

When Clifton Vial crashed his truck into a snowdrift during a drive on a rarely-used road in a remote area of Alaska, he had only snow and a few frozen cans of Coors Light to keep him going.

Vial was stuck in the snow for three days outside of the town of Nome, approximately 700 km northwest of Anchorage."I felt really pissed at myself," the 52-year-old told the Anchorage Daily News about his drive, which started Nov. 28. "I shouldn't have been out there by myself unprepared for what I knew was possible."To keep warm as the nights dipped as low as -28 C, he used a fleece sleeping bag liner and occasionally started the truck to run the heater. As for food, there was nothing but a few cans of beer that were frozen solid.So he ate the beer.

"I cut the lids off and dug it out with a knife," he told the newspaper Friday.
