The Republican mayor of a Mississippi city was forced to admit he is gay after he submitted a receipt from a Toronto sex shop that calls itself "your favourite gay store in Canada" to state auditors amid a spending scandal. Greg Davis, the mayor of Southaven , has been under investigation for the expenses he charged to the city on both his city-issued and personal credit cards, the Commercial Appeal newspaper reports.

BARRIE, Ont. - An unsuccessful attempt at table dancing was brought to an abrupt end when a woman knocked herself out early Sunday morning.
Police say they responded to several calls from patrons at a downtown bar after the woman's unsuccessful stunt.
While strutting her stuff, she lost her balance and fell, striking her head and knocking herself unconscious.
Police and paramedics responded and she was taken to Royal Victoria Hospital

"It only takes me 15 minutes to do my part," Arsenault, 36, told the San Francisco Chronicle. "They'll send me a text message, and by the time they get to my house, it's hot off the press." The engineer with Hewlett-Packard has given away 348 vials of sperm to nearly 50 women, and three women were impregnated last month. Federal regulations, however, say sperm donors must get tested for diseases at least a week before every donation.
He could face a $100,000 fine or a year in prison if he broke the U.S. Food and Drug Administration regulations.

Wow-Swallowed pen still works 25 years later
The pen is said to be mightier than the sword. But an unusual case report has shown that a pen may be mightier than stomach acid.
The case, which appeared in the British Medical Journal Case Reports, described a 76- year-old British woman sent to a GI specialist because of weight loss and diarrhea.She was diagnosed with severe diverticulosis, a condition that's common in older people in which small pouches bulge out from the colon. But when doctors did a scanning test of her belly they noticed something strange: "A linear foreign body in the stomach." (Click here for photos.)
When asked about it, the woman remembered accidentally swallowing a black felt-tip pen 25 years earlier. (In case you're wondering, dentures and toothpicks are two of the most common items that adults accidentally swallow.)
According to her gastroenterologist Dr. Oliver Waters, who authored the case report, she was standing on her stairs using an uncapped pen to poke a spot on her tonsils. She was also holding a hand mirror to guide the pen to the exact spot. Somehow, while doing this, she lost her balance and stumbled. The fall managed to push the pen down her throat. It glided down her gullet and found a home in her tummy.
