LOOMSBURG, Pa. -- A Pennsylvania man who admitted having sex with 10 horses and a cow must spend a weekend in jail after having his probation revoked because he told a counselor he'd done it again.Prosecutors say 44-year-old Paul Ganter was nearly finished with court supervision when he was ordered Tuesday by a Columbia County judge to serve time instead.Ganter was sentenced to a year of probation last January when he pleaded guilty to disorderly conduct. The Press Enterprise of Bloomsburg reports Ganter was charged after having sex with the animals and filming some of the activity at a farm in Main Township. Probation officials say Ganter was otherwise a model of good behavior, paying fines and meeting his probation officer as scheduled. A Pennsylvania woman contemplating a gender change alleges that she was fired after wearing a prosthetic penis to her job, according to a civil rights lawsuit  filed Wednesday in U.S. District Court.Pauline Davis, 45, charges that she was “unfairly terminated” from her position as a “packer/line inspector” at the J&J Snack Foods production plant. She contends that the company subjected her to “disparate and discriminatory treatment for being a female, and for being a female who identified with the male gender.”

According to her complaint, Davis “advised certain co-workers that she would be wearing the prosthetic device, and this information was reported to management.” After learning that Davis was packing a fake penis, J&J “retaliated against her and discriminated against her in that she was illegally terminated,” the lawsuit notes.

The prosthetic device, Davis reported, “was concealed and in no way interfered with the ability of Plaintiff to do her job.”

Supporting her discrimination claim, Davis contended that a male coworker who had “taken hormone treatments and wore female prosthetic devices and dressed in female clothing” was treated “more favorably” and not disciplined for “wearing a female prosthetic or female clothing.”

Davis’s federal lawsuit, which accuses J&J of retaliation and gender identity discrimination, seeks back pay and benefits, actual and punitive damages, and the reimbursement of her legal fees.

Officers in Coos Bay quickly arrested the man when he stopped a few miles away to buy gas.Authorities say the man threw a woman out of the car Tuesday and sped off. The World of Coos Bay reports the man pulled into a gas station and asked to pay cash, but the attendant was suspicious because the driver was agitated.

INDIANAPOLIS - A man who stole a police car after being handcuffed behind his back turned himself in to state troopers in Indiana after two days on the run.

William Blankenship, 22, surrendered on Thursday evening after meeting with two state troopers at his family home in Knox in the north of the Midwestern state, police said.

Blankenship was pulled over for speeding on Tuesday, handcuffed with his hands behind his back and put in the back seat of a police car after an officer reported seeing drug paraphernalia in his car, authorities said. As the officer checked the suspect’s car, Blankenship drove off with the police car, which was found on Wednesday in a pond.

Suzanne Basham, 47, made that mistake yesterday morning when she dialed police in Springfield, Missouri to report that she had paid $40 for crack cocaine that turned out to be sugar, according to an incident report.  Basham, who was not seeking a sugar high, asked cops to arrest her dealer for theft (and, of course, secure a refund for her). While patrolmen went to the address where Basham said she purchased the crack, residents there denied selling dope and declined to let investigators into the home.

Since cops discovered that Basham was in possession of a crack pipe, she was cited for possession of drug paraphernalia. She is pictured above in a mug shot snapped in October 2010 following a collar for drug possession.

CAIRO — Officials at Cairo's international airport confiscated 420 pounds of frozen cow brains Friday from three Sudanese travelers who planned to sell them to Egyptian restaurants, authorities said. An airport official said it was the fourth time this week that customs officers there had foiled an attempt to smuggle cow brains into the country, reflecting the growth of a moneymaking scheme made possible by some realities of international supply and demand: Cow brains are cheap in Sudan, and Egyptians like to eat them. A pound of raw cow brains bought in Sudan for less than a dollar can be resold in Egypt for six times as much, airport officials said. That means Friday's haul could have earned the men more than $1,500. Restaurants specializing in liver and brains are popular in Egypt. Both items are deep fried and often eaten in pita bread with spicy red sauce.
