A Florida woman who reportedly became incensed while watching TV’s Judge Judy was arrested Sunday after she allegedly struck her husband on the head with a hammer.

Janet Knowles, 62, was charged with aggravated battery following the bizarre 10:30 AM incident at a residence in Jupiter. Knowles, seen in the above mug shot, is locked up in the Palm Beach County jail in lieu of $10,000 bond.According to a Jupiter Police Department report, she attacked Larry Knowles, 65, since "she was upset because Judge Judy was on the television,” and "Larry was watching Judge Judy and that made her mad." The syndicated program stars Judith Sheindlin, an irascible former New York jurist.The report does not specifically indicate why Knowles was so upset about Judge Judy, who is pictured above. The victim, who was seated in a recliner when twice hammered, suffered large cuts to his head and forearm, according to cops.

Meet Carrie Harkness.The 23-year-old Pennsylvania woman was charged today with criminal mischief and disorderly conduct in connection with the incident early Saturday at the Country Fair store near her home in Meadville, according to a court docket. A preliminary court hearing has been scheduled for January 12.

Harkness, pictured at right, reportedly became upset when workers asked her to leave the business. A store worker today described the befouled freezer as the walk-in variety.In a Facebook posting last night, Harkness, a mother of two, wrote, “Omg have you ever liked someone so much and go out with them and make a fool of yourself????? Wish I could take back Friday night!!!!! But Youngstown is on point wish my friend could forgive me!!!!!!”

Police in New Zealand have charged a 24-year-old woman they say pretended to be pregnant for nine months, then tried to steal a newborn from a hospital.

Cops told Fairfax New Zealand News that Neha Narayan lied about being pregnant for nine months, then told her partner she was overdue and needed to be taken to hospital to induce labour.He dropped her off at the hospital in Counties Manukau and while she was there, she allegedly spent several hours "moving through the birthing unit attempting to uplift a child."A mom found Narayan holding her two-day-old baby, police said, and Narayan claimed the child was crying and she was trying to calm it.

Narayan then went to another room where a hospital staffer handed her a newborn, believing her to be the mother, police said. She then called her partner for a ride home.

Police said hospital staff realized their mistake as Narayan was waiting in the parking lot, and intercepted her before she could leave with the child.

She's been charged with abduction of a young person, let out on bail and is due in court next month.

A Saskatoon man could face charges of unlawful confinement after he stole a car that had three children inside it.

Late Monday night, a 25-year-old man made away with a Pontiac Grand Am that was left running in a driveway while its owner ran in his home for a minute, police said.

Inside the car were three siblings — an 11-year-old boy and his sisters, ages three and five. The thief dropped them off unharmed seven blocks away, police said.

Cops nabbed a suspect about an hour later, early Tuesday morning, and charged him with impaired driving, refusal, and possession of stolen property over $5000, breach of conditional sentence order and breach of probation. He's due in court on those charges Tuesday.

"Police continue to investigate this incident and possibly more charges will be laid in regards to the theft and unlawful confinement of the children," Sgt. Keith Briant said in a police statement.

The Colorado teen whose photo was too racy for her high school yearbook has had a second sexy photo rejected, and she's taken her fight for "freedom of expression" to the national airwaves. Sydney Spies made headlines last week when the photo she submitted was deemed inappropriate by the Durango High School editorial board.

In the shot, the 18-year-old dancer and aspiring model is dressed in a flouncy yellow miniskirt with nothing for a top but a black scarf tied around her chest.

There was some debate as to who rejected the photo. The yearbook's editors said it was their decision - and it had nothing to do with her revealing ensemble.

"We are an award-winning yearbook. We don't want to diminish the quality with something that can be seen as unprofessional," yearbook editor Brian Jaramillo was quoted as saying in the Durango Herald. But Spies and her mother believe the school officials influenced the yearbook editors, who initially voted in favour of allowing the photo.

They hinted they might get the ACLU involved to defend against what they consider censorship.

 "I'm a senior in high school trying to express my rights and make a difference in not only my school, but everywhere else in the world ... I want people to know that freedom of expression is essential and censoring yearbooks and people is wrong." She appeared on the Today Show Monday and told host Matt Lauer the new photo, like the first one, is a true representation of her personality.
