Fun-London Naked Bike Ride (video)

Baring all in front of heavy traffic, this was the eighth London World Naked Bike Ride, which set off from Hyde Park.

Approximately 1,000 naked cyclists stripped down to ride the nine miles, passing Buckingham Palace on the way, with many treating the Queen to a rendition of Happy Birthday in the process.

It was intended to be a peaceful, imaginative and fun protest, organised against the culture in which there is a dependence on oil and cars, and to promote the alternative – cycling.

Sorry-Ad in Miami paper declares Heat champs

MIAMI - The Miami Herald mistakenly ran an advertisement from a U.S. retailer in its Monday edition congratulating the Miami Heat for winning the NBA title a day after they lost to the Dallas Mavericks in the championship series. The paper ran a large ad from Macy’s Inc pronouncing “Congratulations Miami” and promoting official championship gear at its stores. The ad has pictures of a hat declaring the Heat as 2011 NBA champions as well as four different T-shirts with phrases such as “Raise Another Banner” and “Champions.”

OTTAWA — nearly nude cyclists at Saturday's World Naked Bike Ride had their undies tied in knots -- literally.

Ottawa Police, who have escorted the fleshy, safe cycling protest in years before, told the crowd at their starting point in Confederation Park to keep their pants on, or risk arrest. After outcries and disappointed shouts, the riders accepted the slight defeat and stripped down to the bare -- and legal -- minimum.
