FORT LAUDERDALE— A Coconut Creek man accused of posing as a doctor and offering free door-to-door breast exams has reached a deal with prosecutors, lawyers told a Broward judge on Tuesday.Phillip Winikoff, 81, was accused in April 2006 of carrying on the ruse with women at an apartment complex in the 3200 block of Northwest 40 Street in Lauderdale Lakes. Investigators said two women took Winikoff up on the offer, allowed him into their apartments and realized something was amiss only after the exams started. Winikoff was charged with three counts of sexual battery, two counts of practicing medicine without a license, two counts of simple battery, and one count of using the title of doctor without a license. NATURISTS have been stunned by some bare facts... 87 bombs have been found at a nudist beach.

Experts at the Royal Navy unearthed 61 of the explosives – some dating back to the late 19th century – during a two-day sweep of the sands.They were called in after 26 bombs – including two submarine depth charges and at least six 10lb mortars – washed up on the beach. The Navy’s elite team of bomb disposal officers detonated explosives in the sea near the shore.

A string of other items such as bullets were part of the haul found at Leysdown Beach on the Isle of Sheppey in Kent. North Kent coastguard manager Colin Ingram, who oversaw the controlled explosions, said: “It is quite a find. A lot of shooting and plane exercises happened around Leysdown. Sometimes the shells wouldn’t go off when dropped from a plane or shot from a rifle.“They were cushioned by the mud and did not explode.”

The east side of the beach – often called Shellness – is the official nudist area.

It is listed on the UK’s Naturist Factfile which says: “Recent reports suggest regular use by 20 to 30 naturists, with up to 100 at busy weekends.”(mirror.co.uk)

You've got to have pretty steady hands to perform dental surgery - and pretty steady nerves to do it on a lion.

Dr. Stephen Coles is one of two specialist dental vets in Australia who could operate on Harare, the Melbourne Zoo's 180 kg lion, reports the Herald Sun."You wouldn't put your hands in his mouth unless you were very sure he was asleep," Coles told the newspaper.One of Harare's teeth broke off at the gum line, and the root became infected and needed to be removed."He needs to be able to chew meats and bones or his gums will get inflamed. But unfortunately, as we all know, sometimes you break a tooth on something you've eaten."

The zoo's vet took advantage of a prostrate Harare to give the beast a full check-up, too, and found him to be in good health. (QMI)

For more than a decade, the 35-year-old Chavez has undergone a series of procedures that have made his nose higher and slimmed down his thighs. He has had surgery on his cheeks, lips and chin, and injections to whiten his skin. “Superman is my idol. I want to look like him,” Chavez said. “That’s why I copied his nose and the proportion of Superman’s face.”

Once a typical-looking Filipino, Chavez now has the firm-jawed face of Clark Kent (Reuters).

Meet Alicia Teeples and Ari Ostler, identical twin sisters who live just outside Salt Lake City. After a lifetime of uncanny similarities, the pair experienced their biggest coincidence of all last Friday, when they both had babies on the same day.On Oct. 7, Ostler gave birth to a baby boy named Oliver at 4:15 p.m. A mere 43 minutes later, Teeples gave birth to a baby girl named Penelope. They have the same nose!” Teeples said of the baby cousins. “They both have lots and lots of hair ... and they’re both really mellow babies.”The same-day births seemed almost inevitable for Ostler and Teeples, who are incredibly close and always have been (MSNBC).

Why-Priest starts wedding without the bride

A wedding ceremony in Italy went on for 20 minutes without a bride after a priest ignored the fact that she was late.Friar Maurizio De Sanctis insisted on starting the Mass on time and when bride Vale Solito eventually arrived for the ceremony at the church in the northern town of Viterbo she found it had started without her and the groom was standing alone in front of the priest.The friar, a close friend of Italian rock star Jovanotti, defended his decision saying he was fed up with being kept waiting for couples and added that at the end the pair were married so no harm had been done.He said: "You could say that she really had a wedding to remember."  (RT)
