Novel Idea-No Sex Until a New Coalition government is Formed

A BELGIAN senator has suggested a novel way of breaking the country's nearly eight-month political deadlock.
Marleen Temmerman told the De Morgen newspaper that negotiators should abstain from having sex until a new coalition government was formed. The socialist politician, who is also a renowned gynecologist, said she was inspired by her time in Kenya."After a year of talking, women's movements called on the negotiators' wives to stop having sex until an agreement was reached. A week later, a deal was on the table," she said. The idea has even older precedents. Ms Temmerman also cited the ancient Greek text Lysistrata by the playwright and philosopher Aristophanes, which describes a successful sex strike mounted by women to end the war between Athens and Sparta."You never know," she said. "It's much better than being cynical."
Belgium's King Albert II last week tasked caretaker Finance Minister Didier Reynders with finding a way to end the wrangling between Flemish and French-speaking parties, which has blocked the formation of a stable government since a June 13, 2010 election.

Need Shave/Haircut –Checkout Sexy Hair Salon

WINNIPEG - A sexy new hair salon set to open in Winnipeg will be pushing the boundaries of traditional barbering in an effort to create a niche market for male customers. The Scandalous Barber, an 18-plus salon geared towards men, is expected to open Feb. 14. The shop's stylists will be dressed "a little more risqué" than at standard salons, said owner Tara Kardash.
"Our standard dress code is a suit (jacket) with a bra or a corset," Kardash said. "One of the ideas we had was to have just lingerie — a Hooters for hair. I'm sure we'll move in that direction but we'll see how it goes."
Kardash said the idea is to create "a relaxing environment for men," an under-served demographic in the beauty industry.
So far it seems to be going well, if advance bookings are any indication.
"We've had a ton of male customers calling already," Kardash said.
The shop — which welcomes female customers as well — will open with two stylists who will offer standard hair services such as washes, cuts, styles and colouring, with prices ranging from $35 to $75."We do hair services, and that's it," Kardash said, noting funny business will not be tolerated.Kardash said she has yet to meet with any neighbouring businesses or residents, but said they'll all be welcome to come check out the salon when it opens."They can come see for themselves that there's no concern. There's nothing funny going on," she said.Iain Wight, a piercer at a nearby tattoo shop, said he believes the salon will be a welcome addition to the neighbourhood."When we came in here, it seemed like everyone was more than welcoming," he said. "I think the mindset is probably better than it used to be. I don't see any problems with it."

Missing What-Japanese Condoms disappear

KUALA LUMPUR - Malaysian police said Tuesday they were investigating the disappearance of more than 700,000 ultrathin condoms which went missing in transit between Malaysia and Japan.Sagami Rubber Industries, Japan's first condom maker, said last week that the shipment was loaded into a container at its factory in northern Malaysia, but that it was empty with the locks replaced when it arrived in Tokyo."We take the matter of the missing condoms very seriously... we are investigating the matter," a Malaysian police spokesman told AFP.Sato Koji, manager of the Sagami rubber factory in Malaysia's Perak state, said they had lodged a police report over the loss of the shipment."We are unhappy over the incident. This is the first time such a thing has happened since our Malaysian production started in 1997," he told AFP.Officials at Sagami's head office have said that the prophylactics, which it bills as being 14 percent thinner than conventional ones, are worth 1.5 million dollars at Japanese retail prices.Freight forwarders say goods being shipped out of Malaysia go missing routinely and that many cases are inside jobs.

Stupid Advice-Man calls police to ask for advice on growing cannabis

Twenty-one-year-old Robert Michelson from Connecticut innocently called 911 to find out how much trouble he'd get into for growing marijuana and was promptly arrested by officers. Michelson was reportedly told by the police dispatcher that growing pot was illegal and was warned he could be arrested. So he did what any polite citizen would do - he quickly said thank you for the advice and hung up the phone.Unfortunately for him, officers already had his details and he'd rather stupidly told the controller there was 'possibly' a crime going on at his home, so they went to the property where they seized a small quantity of cannabis and drug paraphernalia. The hapless grower was released on $5,000 (£3,100) bail after being charged with marijuana possession and other crimes.

Wow-Have You Seen a Skateboarding dog

Jonathan Fell has been told by officials from the local council that, following a complaint from a local resident, he must keep the dog on a lead, and can only let him ride the skateboard on his own in certain areas.
Mr Fell told The Daily Telegraph: 'As far as I am concerned if Bodhi is under control he is not causing a problem. He is always under control.'If I call him he comes to me and sits. He loves skateboarding with the wind sailing through him.'He added he would feel proud of being the first person to receive an Asbo for having a skateboarding dog.'I would hang it on the wall. He is not doing anything wrong, it is a joke, Bodhi is no criminal,' the landscape gardener said.A spokesperson for Brighton and Hove Council at least seemed to have a sense of humour about the issue, saying Mr Fell must keep the dog on a lead while he is on the road or pavement, but adding: 'Should the rules be breached further we may be forced to issue the dog with an As-Bone.'
