Misuse-Deputy gets jail for sex with prisoner on car

CARO, Mich. -- A former sheriff's deputy in the Thumb has been sentenced to six months in jail for allowing a prisoner to escape in exchange for sex on the hood of his car.Authorities say Dale Tompkins was transporting a woman to Tuscola County from another county in July 2010 when he agreed to accept her offer. She was under arrest for a probation violation. The Saginaw News says Tompkins was sentenced Monday to 185 days in jail, followed by 180 days wearing an electronic monitor. Tuscola County Prosecutor Mark Reene says the deputy's behavior was "outrageous."Defense attorney Greg Bringard urged the judge to choose probation instead of jail, saying Tompkins isn't a threat to the public. Tompkins resigned as a Tuscola County deputy.

What-Subway sex pair charged

TORONTO -- A couple nabbed having sex on a moving TTC subway car gave a whole new meaning to the slogan "Ride the Rocket." When the young man and woman began making love on a southbound University line coach around Sunday, a disgusted passenger pressed the yellow emergency strip. After the train's guard finished putting the brakes to their tryst, the

apparently drunken pair moved onto the Spadina station platform and continued their randy ritual on the tile floor -- with the man's naked bottom and her naked legs caught on video by a passerby.
"They were on the subway train itself ... they were having intercourse," TTC spokesman Brad Ross said Monday. He said while such unwelcome activity may have occurred before, "this is the first report I've seen in the almost four years I've been here." Ross said activation of the emergency bar alerted the operator and a security supervisor. On the hand-held video, which left nothing the couple was engaged in to the imagination, a man wearing a yellow vest with reflective white tape can be seen glancing their way then walking out of range beside the stopped train. oss said Toronto Police reached the platform, followed by a TTC supervisor and the copulating couple was arrested. They were charged with being engaged in a lewd act.
"They appeared to be extremely intoxicated," Ross said. "I'm not sure if it was from alcohol or drugs." Because of their drunken performance, he said police arranged for the pair to be taken to Mount Sinai for a checkup as a precaution.

Anger-Hockey dad convicted in parent punch-up

WINNIPEG - A Winnipeg hockey dad is facing possible jail time after a tournament dispute with another boy's father turned violent. Paul Buchanan was convicted Monday of one count each of assault, uttering threats and making harassing phone calls. "There is probably no sporting activity that Canadians are more passionate about than hockey," Judge Robert Heinrichs said. "That passion is extended to parents watching their own children play, whatever level they are at."
Buchanan had been watching his son play at the St. Norbert Community Centre arena Dec. 13, 2009, when he got into an argument with a parent from the losing team.

Why-Police shut down swingers club in home (video)

Bedrooms were lined wall-to-wall with beds, and there was a dancing pole and spanking table in the living room of a home converted into a swingers club, police in Florida say.
Four people were arrested for running a sexually oriented business without a licence, as well as operating a bottle club without proper zoning.
Detectives said the Tampa home was full of items for swinging, which is when a couple in a committed relationship agrees to take part in sexual activities with other couples.
Police said the home was also filled with televisions playing pornographic films.
Single men and women could enter the club for a fee, but couples were free, police said. As well, police said anyone entering the house could bring their own bottle of alcohol and share it with others. The club allegedly operated from Wednesday to Sunday, between and sometime in the early morning. Police said officers observed up to 50 people in the home at one time.
The investigation is ongoing. The four people arrested were Cynthia Bowers, Steven Bowers, Pamela Zabala and Ricky Zabala. Police allege the Bowers owned and operated the club, but the Zabalas helped out when the Bowers wanted a night off.

Wow- Same-sex penguins lay an egg

TORONTO - Toronto Zoo African penguins Pedro and Buddy -- the same-sex lovebirds who made international headlines after they were separated to mate -- have so far laid an egg when it comes to making babies. Gay penguins, and other animals, can be found in captivity and in the wild. Pedro and Buddy are now part of the Species Survival Plan launched in November.
"We have been pleased with the pair bonding and breeding activity of the program so far," Tom Mason, the curator of birds and invertebrates at the zoo, said. "African penguins are endangered and breeding programs such as the one currently in progress at the Toronto Zoo are integral to the survival of the species," he said. Buddy was paired with a female, and some mating activity has taken place.  Pedro was first introduced to a female penguin on Dec. 1, but no bonding has taken place.

The young men and women taking part were given the incentive of being allowed to pre-register for the holiday company's famous January sale. Prices for holidays around the world start as low as £399, so it's not hard to understand why some people went to such lengths to bag a bargain.
Virgin Holiday's West London store, which officially opens in January, is the company's first permanent high street location not within a department store or supermarket.

The two-storey, 18,000 sq ft building will feature 'shops within a shop' including a Virgin Holidays store, a Hip Hotels shop and a cruise shop. It will be very experiential. We want people to come in and play with and experience travel, not just be sold it,' said customer director Mark Anderson. 'There will be elements from our concession stores that work well, plus some really innovative, experiential new concepts.'

Oops: Sandusky lawyer makes joke about ’1-800-REALITY’ … which turns out to be gay sex hotline (video)

There are gaffes, and then there are super gaffes. Jerry Sandusky’s attorney, Joe Amendola, committed the latter today while presiding at a press conference outside the Centre County Couthouse. Sandusky had just waived his right to a preliminary trail, and Amendola was attempting to get creative with his comments.
