Crazy-Pot-smoking mom drives off with baby on car roof

PHOENIX -- A marijuana-smoking woman was arrested on Saturday in Phoenix after she accidentally drove away with her five-week-old son in a child safety seat on the roof of her vehicle, police said. The baby fell off the car in the middle of an intersection and was found unharmed and strapped into the seat, said Phoenix police spokesman James Holmes. The mother Catalina Clouser, 19, was booked into jail on child abuse and aggravated assault charges, he said. The infant was taken to a local hospital as a precaution and is in the custody of state Child Protective Services. “It appears the suspect put the baby on the roof of the car and drove off, forgetting he was still on the roof,” Holmes said in a written statement. Police said Clouser and her boyfriend had been smoking marijuana in a park and left with the toddler to buy beer late on Friday night. Officers stopped the car and the boyfriend was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence while driving with the baby in the 2000 Ford Focus. Police learned that Clouser was so upset about the arrest that she drove to a friend’s home and “admittedly smoked one or two additional bowls of marijuana,” Holmes said.

Why-A woman pleaded guilty to striking a policeman with pink sex toy

A New York State woman has pleaded guilty to striking a policeman in the forehead with a foot-long pink sex toy, according to court records. Lisa Anderson, 47, copped to a misdemeanor harassment charge in connection with a late-April confrontation with a Watertown Police Department officer. Anderson was sentenced 10 days ago to time served and ordered to pay fines totaling $120. According to a police report, cops encountered Anderson when they were dispatched at 3 AM to a Watertown apartment building to deal with an unwanted visitor. As she was being escorted from the apartment of a male friend who had called 911, Anderson retrieved the sex toy from a chair and threw it at Officer Jonathan Pitts. The airborne dildo--which investigators estimated was "approximately twelve inches in length"--struck Pitts in the head. Anderson then “attempted to swing her fist at Officer Pitts,” but she was quickly restrained and placed under arrest.

Watch-Man catches fire after applying sunscreen

Sunscreen can protect the skin from sunburns, but watch out for barbecue burns. Sunscreen maker Banana Boat is conducting an investigation into its product after reports a Massachusetts man went up in flames after spraying himself with sunscreen while barbecuing. Brett Sigworth told CBS Boston affiliate WBZ-TV it all happened very quickly. "I sprayed on the spray-on sunscreen, and then rubbed it on for a few seconds. I walked over to my grill, took one of the holders to move some of the charcoal briquettes around and all of a sudden it went up my arm," the Stow, Mass., man told the station. "I went into complete panic mode and screamed ... I've never experienced pain like that in my life." Sigworth suffered second-degree burns on his chest, ear and back. Photos provided to the TV station show the lines where he sprayed the sunscreen that caught fire. The sunscreen label warns the contents are flamable, and not to use it near heat, but Sigworth said he didn't expect it to catch fire once it was applied to skin. Banana Boat responded in a statement that it will look into the how this happened. "We take these matters very seriously and will begin a prompt investigation as we continue to strive to deliver products of the highest quality to our consumers," the company's statement reads.

How-Cheating Hubby Dies during Threesome & Family Awarded $3 Million

A Georgia jury awarded $3 million to a man who died while doing a threesome one day before he was scheduled to have a heart stress test. The unusual lawsuit arose after the Lawrenceville man died on March 12, 2009, while engaging in a threesome with a friend and a woman who was NOT his wife. It was not immediately clear in the verdict whether the patient’s wife or his two sons stand to benefit from the judgement.Plaintiff’s lawyers Rod Edmond and Tricia Hoffler, who represented the estate of William Martinez, argued that a doctor at Cardiovascular Group in Lawrenceville failed to take a proper medical history when Martinez consulted him about chest pains that were radiating into his arm. That appointment occurred a week before Martinez died.Martinez had high blood pressure and other tests showed he was at high risk of having clogged heart arteries. The attending cardiologist, Dr. Sreenivasulu Gangasani, scheduled a stress test for eight days later, but failed to inform the patient to stop all physical activity until the test was completed, according to a press release issued by the plaintiff’s law firm, Edmond & Lindsay in Atlanta. Attorneys at the firm did not return calls seeking further comment.
