Top 5-$1 condo fails to get offers-Very sad for this condo…
LAGUNA WOODS, Calif., Dec. 18 (UPI) -- A California condo being listed for $1 is proving hard to sell due to its location in a retirement community and $1,718 a month in homeowners association dues. Cathy Flores, the listing agent for the condo in The Towers complex in Laguna Woods, said the sellers want only $1 for the 500-square-foot condo and are offering to pay $1,500 for new paint and carpeting but she has yet to receive an offer for the property, the Orange County (Calif.) Register reported Tuesday. The fourth-floor condo features dinner service, maid service and utilities included, but
Flores said potential buyers are put off by the condo being in a retirement community -- which means no residents under the age of 55 are allowed -- and charging $1,718 a month in dues to the homeowners association."It is a good deal, but it's not a good investment," Flores said. "It's really for someone looking to enjoy the amenities in Laguna Woods."

Top 3-Vodka helps stranded elephant’s survive-wow very nice news about survival
MOSCOW - Two circus elephants drank vodka to help them survive when their trailer caught fire in freezing Siberia, RIA news agency said. A quick-thinking handler resorted to the traditional Russian cure for all ills by buying two cases of vodka from a nearby
village, diluting it with warm water and serving it to Indian elephants Jenny and Magda, it said. He had become desperate after realizing that making them run round the broken truck was not enough to prevent them freezing to death before a new trailer arrived to complete their journey. RIA quoted a local official as saying the vodka had helped them survive. “After that they roared as if they were in the jungle! Apparently they were happy,” he said. Jenny and Magda, touring the region with a Polish circus, were then taken to a local school gym with little more than frostbite on their ears and trunks. They reached their final destination in the Siberian city of Omsk on Friday and began rehearsing for circus performances over Christmas and the New Year.

Top 1- Worker injured during sex wins compensation -What a nice court decision?
An Australian court has ruled that a government employee who was injured while having sex on a work trip is eligible for compensation. In a Dec. 13 decision, the Federal Court ruled that the initial judgment in the woman's favour was correct, and dismissed the appeal by Comcare, the workers' compensation insurer for the government. In
November 2007, the woman had to travel for work to a town in New South Wales. She stayed at a motel booked by the government agency she worked for and met a male friend for dinner one night. After dinner, they went to her motel room and had sex. While they were having sex, a glass light fixture above the bed fell on the woman, and injured her nose and mouth. She also suffered a psychological injury, the judgment says. After being injured, the woman applied for workers' compensation, a request that Comcare initially approved. But after investigating the claim further, Comcare revoked their acceptance of her claim on Jan. 21, 2010.
In its decision last week, the Federal Court found that "no approval, express or implied, of the respondent's conduct was required ... the views of the employer were irrelevant." "We think the primary judge was correct to make a declaration that the respondent was entitled to compensation," the ruling concludes. Comcare said Friday that it filed the appeal to get clarity "on the boundaries between private and business activities when employees are travelling for work purposes." Comcare said it is reviewing the decision and will consider its options.
