What more-Penis graffiti wins art prize in Russia (video)

The group painted the 220ft-long phallus on St Petersburg's Liteiny Bridge in protest at heightened security in the city ahead of June's International Economic Forum.
As you can see in the video below, the idea is that the penis rises, erection-like, when the bridge is raised to let traffic through.The drawbridge happens to be opposite the headquarters of the FSB security service - one of St Petersburg's tourist attractions.Founded by the Russian culture ministry, the annual Innovation awards saw Voina - or War - scoop the prize for best work of visual art.
The award has been won in the past by acclaimed artists including Andrei Monastyrsky and the Blue Noses group

Outrage-Crying boy's 'striptease' gets show pulled off the air

A wildly popular TV game show in the Philippines has halted production after the host let a crying six-year-old boy mimic a striptease dance, prompting widespread outrage.
On the show Willing Willie, host Willie Revillame doles out cash to contestants who perform tasks like dancing or singing.The crying boy earned 10,000 pesos, worth about $222, for gyrating his hips like a stripper on air.The episode sparked a huge backlash, including allegations by various organizations of child abuse, accusations the show was mocking its poorest viewers, an investigation by a government agency and public condemnation by some of the country's biggest celebrities.
Major advertisers also pulled out, including Procter & Gamble, Del Monte Pacific, Unilever and Jollibee Foods.

Stupid-Man accused of using wrestling moves on tot

A 21-month-old boy is recovering from broken ribs after his mother's boyfriend threw him "around like a rag doll, emulating moves he saw while watching pro wrestling on television," Florida police say.
Officers were called to a home in Lehigh Acres, about 30 km east of Fort Myers, on April 2 after a report of suspected child abuse. The boy was looked over and bruising on his back and rib area was evident, police said. An X-ray revealed four, possibly five, fractured ribs.

Brazil builds world's largest Lego tower in Sao Paulo

The project is 31.19m (102ft) tall – breaking the previous record set in Chile by 25cm (9.8in).
Former Brazilian football star Cafu placed the last bricks on the top from a cherrypicker, making Sao Paolo the 44th city and 32nd country with a completed Lego tower.The tower, which was built in the car park of a the Shopping Centre Norte, took four days to construct, and used more than 500,000 individual Lego pieces.

ANCHORAGE — A few dozen men seeking to raise awareness for sexual assault violence against women tried to walk a mile in their shoes Friday — literally.Among the participants — some burly and others bearded — in the fourth annual "Walk a Mile in her Shoes" event at the University of Alaska Anchorage was the head of Alaska State Troopers, Col. Keith Mallard, who slipped out of one of his red suede peep-toe shoes during the walk."I had a blowout," Mallard said sheepishly. "It didn't hinder my progress any. I just had to pull to the side and get a tire change."
