What happen-Man accidentally shoots his buttocks at theatre?

A man whose gun went off in a movie theatre in Sparks, Nev., apologized to the other theatregoers before leaving the Tuesday night screening of The Bourne Legacy to go to hospital for a gunshot wound to his buttocks, police say. Police say the 56-year-old man was found at a hospital in nearby Reno, where he was being treated for a through-and-through gunshot wound to his backside. The man told police that his gun fell out of his pocket and discharged when it hit the floor of the theatre. Witnesses in the theatre corroborated his story. The man has a permit to carry a concealed weapon, police say, and the case is being forwarded to the city attorney’s office for possible charges related to the discharging of the gun.
Overcharged-Woman reimbursed more than $10K by Power Company

You think your hydro bill is confusing? A Connecticut woman got a cheque for more than $10,000 from the power company after she realized they'd been overcharging her for 25 years. Grace Edwards, of Cheshire, paid about $20 a month extra on her electricity bill
to illuminate "9500 Lumen HP Sodium" and "6300 Lumen HP Sodium" — two streetlights down the road from her house — the Hartford Courant reports. "(The charges had) no more relevance to me than any other line items on the bill," she told the paper. But when she recently requested her billing history for a prospective home buyer, she discovered Connecticut Light & Power's statements showed lower charges than what she'd paid. CL&P agreed to remove the streetlights from future bills but wouldn't reimburse her. She took her case first to the state Public Utilities Regulatory Authority — who were "rude," she told the Courant — then to the state consumer protection agency. A quarter century after she moved in to the house, Edwards got a cheque from CL&P for the approximately $5,800 she'd overpaid plus interest, totalling $10,491.21. She also received an apology.

After months of anticipation in tabloids on both sides of the pond, Katrina Darling, the burlesque-dancing cousin of Kate Middleton - now known as Duchess Catherine of

Cambridge - has made a splash with her lingerie-clad photo on the cover of the September issue of Playboy. Darling, 22, is a second cousin, once removed, of the duchess,

a fact that a member of the British press dug up after Kate Middleton and Prince William announced they planned to marry. Darling, whose burlesque routine includes an almost butt-naked rendition of God Save the Queen, is featured in an eight-page spread in the upcoming issue of Playboy. "Finally! On the cover of Playboy!" Darling tweeted, along with a photo of the cover, early Wednesday
How-Topless organizers beat Toronto's City Hall

Last summer, organizers of GoTopless.org were denied a permit by the city’s parks department to hold an event at Kew Beach where women planned to go bare-breasted in public. The city said women participating in the event would violate its code that

raelian

requires people to be “properly attired.” But now, the city is buckling to the whims of the bare-breasted women, despite adding “stronger” wording in its parks bylaw to more clearly define nudity. While no permit request has been made, the city is ready to issue one. The group is still planning to hold a topless protest in the Kew Beach area on Aug. 26 to put the spotlight on the social stigma associated with women going bare-chested in public. “Even in light (of the stronger wording), the direction I’ve received is we would still issue them the permit,” said Mark Lawson, of the parks department.  “The individuals involved in the decision, which would include our legal division, are saying that may be justifiable, but pressed on that, it may be problematic. What I mean by that ... is if there is concern expressed by this group, we may be challenged (in court).” Lawson added the Raelians have not applied for a park permit for their topless event this year, but would be granted one as long as the event fell at least two weeks from now and met stipulations with respect to insurance and fees. GoTopless.org spokesman and Raelian priest Sylvie Chabot said her group figured they’d be shot down for a permit, so organizers didn’t bother applying for one.
What-Threesome doctor drops bid for licence

TORONTO - A Sault Ste. Marie, Ont., doctor who lost his licence for having a menage a trois and sexually abusing another patient abandoned his bid to get his licence back, QMI Agency has learned. Dr. Tony DeLuco had his licence revoked in 2005 for participating in a threesome with a patient and her gal pal and for sexual misconduct with another patient. One patient described sex sessions at her home, in his exam room and a menage a trois in her friend's bedroom. She testified the threesome occurred in the early spring of 2001 at the home of a female friend, who complained of lower abdominal pain.

She acknowledged that this was a ruse . . . she knew that (the woman) was interested in Dr. DeLuco and she hoped they would have sex," the committee wrote in its decision. DeLuco, now 64, admitted watching the two women engage in sexual acts. DeLuco's guilt was also proven by recordings of six suggestive phone messages he left on the patient's answering machine. He was seeking to have his licence reinstated after it was revoked. But he dropped the bid in April 2012, promising not to seek his licence in Ontario "or any other jurisdiction" after.
