WINNIPEG – A Winnipeg mom says her daughter is afraid to go outside and is suffering from panic attacks after seeing Mr. JetzTV's picture in the paper Monday. Darrell Erwin Ackman, 43, is out on bail on a list of charges that includes living off the avails of prostitution, sexual assault and making child pornography. The woman, who can't be named to avoid identifying her daughter, said her 17-year-old is one of the victims associated with those charges. She said the girl is suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder, can't sleep and is on medication following her recent release from the Manitoba Youth Centre.

"My child's scared," she said. News of Ackman's candidacy in the Sept. 4 Fort Whyte by-election just made it worse, she said. Elections Manitoba officially confirmed him as a candidate Monday. "I'm in tears here. I can't get over this. I think our government should look at things differently ... to let someone like that run?" Ackman initially made headlines last winter for filming women — some caught off-guard — and calling himself Mr. JetzTV. At the time, he told QMI Agency he was trying to "be like Justin Bieber" by promoting his video clips in hopes of attracting fame and wealth.

ORONTO - Prominent Toronto plastic surgeon Sammy Jo Sliwin warned his lover that if he performed a breast augmentation surgery on her, they could no longer have sex. The 54-year-old woman — who cannot be legally identified due to a publication ban — testified at a discipline committee hearing of the College of Physicians and Surgeons that she and Sliwin had sex for the first time on March 8, 2001. Sliwin, 56, is facing the revocation of his medical licence by the college for having sexual relations with a patient. The panel hasn’t released its decision on the hearing, which concluded last month. The office romance fostered after months of flirting between long-time friends and they had sex in the office, she testified. Within days of their first sexual encounter, the woman, who was his office manager at the time, asked Sliwin to perform the surgery. In testimony obtained by QMI Agency, she recalled Sliwin announcing they could be either doctor-patient or lovers — but not both.  If you do this, then I can’t be your lover anymore,” the divorced mom of two adults quoted as Sliwin as saying.

Sliwin, who had previously done surgery on a long-time friend and then an employee in the 1990s, sought advice from the college by checking issues of its official publications and policies on its website. A precedent setting case two years ago determined that consensual, pre-existing relationships could be considered “sexual abuse.”

MOSCOW (AP) - Russian investigators say a woman in East Siberia has strangled an elderly neighbor to death with her bra. The Investigative Committee in Buryatia said in a statement on Tuesday that the 26-year-old woman from the town of Zakamensk, just miles north off the border with Mongolia, has been charged with murder. Investigators say the woman was drunk on a July evening when she and her boyfriend called on their 65-year-old neighbor for money to buy drinks. Angry that he refused to lend them money, the woman punched him in the face and tried to strangle him with her hands, before taking off her bra and strangling him with it, they say. The woman is now in custody awaiting the end of the probe, investigators say. Her name was not released.

Three daycare workers in Delaware are accused of ordering toddlers to fight each other at the centre so they could watch. Dover police said a cellphone video showed the female employees encouraging the three-year-old children to punch each other. In the video, police said a child is heard crying and yells, "He's pinching me," before a daycare worker says, "No pinching. Only punching." "Clearly one of the children is crying and does not want to continue on and he is pushed back into the fray by one of the adults," Capt. Tim Stump told CBS Philly of the footage taken in March. Police did not release the video.

The employees from the Hands of Our Future Daycare have been arrested and the business licence of the daycare has been suspended. Tiana Harris, 19, Estefania Myers, 21, and Lisa Parker, 47, are charged with assault, reckless endangerment, conspiracy and endangering the welfare of a child.
