Twenty-eight UK gym members have set a new world record for the number of people in a Mini car at one time. The group of women from East Sussex broke two Guinness World Records when 28 of them managed to clamber inside a 2012 Mini, using every available space in the diminutive car including the dashboard, footwalls and the trunk -- which it turns out can hold four adults in an emergency. The previous record, of 27, was also held by the group and had been set last year. For an encore, the women rushed to a TV studio to attempt the feat again, this time with a classic, much smaller pre-BMW-takeover Mini on live television. The result of that? Another new world record of 23 people, two better than the previous best. The East Sussex ladies' success is just two of thousands of record-breaking attempts happening worldwide Thursday to make the eighth annual Guinness World Records Day.

Donnelly, 58, is six months pregnant with her granddaughter, acting as a surrogate for her daughter who’s unable to have children. A mother of three and a grandmother of six, she knows a thing or two about motherhood. But all the child rearing and raising Donnelly’s done over the decades couldn’t prepare her for the parenting challenge she’s facing today. “Now that I’m showing, I make sure people aren’t staring or looking at me because they’re probably thinking, ‘Look at that old lady,’” she said. “It’s been challenging.” For two years, Donnelly’s daughter Shannon Fischer and her husband Jamie tried to have a baby. When they discovered they couldn’t conceive due to scarring in Shannon’s uterus, Donnelly quickly volunteered to be a surrogate mother for her daughter.  “I felt bad for them,” she said. “I just figured, what’s nine months of my life? And they’re going to have a child for the rest of theirs.” It was long process that involved a heavy dose of fertility drugs for both Fischer and Donnelly, who had already gone through menopause. It paid off. Fischer said she was standing in line for a coffee when she received a call from her fertility doctor telling her that her mom was pregnant.

A 50-year-old man was admitted to hospital with a penis swollen to the size of a coconut, a doctor at the Police General Hospital in Bangkok said. The man had undergone a procedure to enlarge his penis at an illegal clinic about five years ago, during which his penis was injected with olive oil, Dr. Surat Kittisup-porn told the Post. The man's genitals had been working without problem until about six months ago, when he sustained a cut to his penis that got infected. Doctors found cancer and had no choice but to remove his penis, Surat said.

The shopkeeper said officials told him the change was mandated by Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan."The municipality warned us that the prime minister was feeling disturbed because of 'erotic store' signboards," the shopkeeper said.
