Police in Florida have charged a restaurant owner who allegedly opened fire at two customers after they complained about their meal. Marshall Phillips and Destin McMahon said a server at Wazzabi restaurant in Winter Park started arguing with them and causing a scene when they said they were unhappy with the food and the service, WFTV reports. Phillips paid his $13 bill, but McMahon refused to pay the $19 he owed because he'd sent back his meal after just a few bites

TORONTO -- City Councillor Ana Bailao was busted for impaired driving Tuesday morning. Toronto Police confirmed Bailao was arrested just after 1 a.m. near Bathurst St. and Harbord St. Bailao, 36, is charged with impaired driving and having more than 80 mgs of alcohol in 100 ml of blood. She is due to appear in an Old City Hall courtroom on Dec. 3. The councillor for Ward 18, Davenport issued a statement Tuesday afternoon. “I can confirm that on October 16, I was charged with impaired driving,” the statement said. “This situation is regrettable. I have been advised by my legal counsel that because this matter is before the courts that I have no further comment.”
Bailao attended Mayor Rob Ford’s Mayor’s Ball for the Arts Monday night. Councillor Frances Nunziata sat at the same table as Bailao. Nunziata said they both left the ball separately shortly after Ford’s speech around 9:30 p.m. “I’m surprised,” Nunziata said, reacting to news of the charges. “I don’t know what the circumstances were.” Mayor Rob Ford -- who was busted for impaired driving in Florida in 1999 before he was elected -- called Bailao’s charges “unfortunate.”

MORGAN — Morgan County Sheriff's investigators say that a Wyoming man used his child's birthday money to buy a quarter pound of marijuana. 28-year-old Andrew Mook was stopped in a car east of Morgan city limits because his license plate light was out, according to deputies. The Standard-Examiner reports that a 16-year-old behind the wheel and a 7-year-old boy and a 2-year-old girl in the back seat, as well as a 34-year-old man. The deputy who pulled the car over just happened to have a Labrador retriever with him trained in sniffing for drugs.
A search yielded the marijuana along with three mostly empty baggies believed to have once contained marijuana. There was also a 9 mm semiautomatic handgun in the car. Mook is already a convicted felon and was booked on charges of possession of a firearm by a restricted person, possession of marijuana, paraphernalia as well as child endangerment.
Trick-Dyed pork sold as beef in Sweden
Several tonnes of pork tenderloin has been dyed and sold as beef tenderloin to Swedish grocery wholesalers, prompting Sweden's National Food Agency (Livsmedelsverket) to issue an EU-wide warning. The meat manipulation was discovered by wholesaler Svensk Cater after a shipment of what had been sold as beef from Argentina was returned by a customer who complained the meat was too moist, the Svenska Dagbladet (SvD) newspaper reported.When the wholesaler ordered a new shipment from Swedish meat supplier Heat AB it received meat which was billed as beef from Hungary. "I tried the product. Then I discovered it had been injected with a lot of a dye," Thomas Narving of Svensk Cater told newspaper.
The meat was then sent to the National Food Agency for testing which confirmed that the "beef" was in fact pork which had been injected with food colouring

The snails were left behind at a hotel in Budapest while a startled guest in a hotel in Washington DC found a snake in his room, the survey by lastminute.com found. The left-behind spouse was at a hotel in Prague when a businessman went straight to the airport leaving his wife at the hotel. A guest staying in a hotel in Dublin forgot his mother was with him and left without her. Other instances included $10,000 in cash left hidden around a hotel room in Washington DC, a dog left behind by an owner in a hotel in Milan, a gun and a badge left behind by a police officer in a Las Vegas hotel and wedding dress left behind in New York
