Misusing the his power-Ex cop faces sex charges involving 20 women

WINNIPEG -- One week after a jury acquitted him of sexually assaulting an aspiring model, Richard Dow will return to court to stand trial on sex-related charges involving more than 20 women. A jury deliberated for just over four hours before acquitting the 58-year-old former police officer of a single count of sexual assault Monday afternoon.
Dow, former owner of the now defunct RiCoCo International modelling agency, admitted to having sex with the then 18-year-old woman at his home 12 years ago, but testified it was consensual. The now 30-year-old woman told court Dow plied her with alcohol during a lengthy photo shoot and then took advantage of her. She said she started the six-hour photo shoot modeling pants, tops and skirts, and graduated to more revealing bra and lingerie shots as the night wore on. She said Dow poured her up to seven drinks during the evening.

When the shoot was over, Dow carried her up to his bedroom, where he had her perform oral sex on him and then had intercourse with her, the woman testified.
I was limp and in and out of consciousness, she said. He just kind of had his way with me.
The woman didn't report the incident until 2006 when police, following up on a separate investigation, found photos of her during a search of Dow's home.
Defense lawyer Crystal Antila said the woman met Dow several times after the photo shoot and later signed a three-year modeling contract with RiCoCo. "These are not the actions of a woman who was sexually assaulted," Antila said last week in her closing argument to jurors.
Crown attorney Marty Minuk argued the woman was too incapacitated by alcohol to consent to sex. Justice Chris Martin appeared to undercut that argument in his final charge to the jury Monday morning, saying the Crown should have called an expert witness if they wanted to prove the woman was incapacitated by alcohol. Drunkenness is not equivalent to incapacity," Martin said. The Crown also never directly asked the woman if she was unwilling to participate in the sexual activity, Martin said.

Unlucky-Man dies after having testicles squeezed during fight over parking space

A man is reported to have died in China after having his testicles squeezed during a dust up over a parking space. According to the Australian Telegraph, an argument arose between the shopkeeper victim and a scooter rider after she was making the school run to pick up her child from a primary school in Meilan District, Haikou City.
Eyewitnesses are reported to have claimed that the 42-year-old told the unidentified woman that she was not permitted to park her vehicle in front of his store.
The dispute is said to have escalated to a “violent fist fight” after the furious mum contacted her husband and brother to assist her. It is alleged that during the consequent scuffle that she lunged for the shopkeeper’s crotch, grabbed his testicles and squeezed until her collapsed on the ground.
