Surprise-Woman finds ex-boyfriend from 12 years ago in her attic

A South Carolina woman recently discovered her convict ex-boyfriend, who she dumped 12 years ago, holed up in her attic, spying on her, surrounded by cups of his own waste. The Rock Hill, S.C., woman, who identified herself only as Tracy, told the Charlotte Observer she was sitting in her bedroom on her laptop and kept feeling that "something just ain't right." She heard strange noises and saw insulation falling from the ceiling. Tracy, who has children ranging from three to 20, sent her two oldest sons to investigate, but they found nothing. Then, at 2:30 a.m., nails in the ceiling fell to the floor. She called her nephew, who investigated the depths of the cluttered attic only to find Tracy's ex-boyfriend asleep in a heating unit, next to a vent, which he had rigged to spy on Tracy.
Wow-A Canadian link to Richard III?

LONDON, Ont. — A Canadian family’s DNA could be the missing link in a centuries-long quest to find the remains of King Richard III. A team of archeologists at the University of Leicester in England exhumed a skeleton believed to be Richard’s beneath one of the university’s parking lots Wednesday and are hoping DNA evidence from the London family will prove their suspicions true. Richard was killed in 1485 during the Battle of Bosworth -- often cited as the deciding battle in the War of the Roses -- by Henry VII, father of the famed King Henry VIII. Richard’s rise to power -- it’s believed he had his nephews murdered in order to seize the thrown -- and short two-year reign as king, is chronicled in Shakespeare’s play Richard III. In 2005, British historian John Ashdown-Hill traced Richard’s bloodline to Joy Ibsen, a retired journalist who moved to London, Ont., from England after the Second World War and raised a family.

Bad-Rapist taunts victim: 'Ha ha, I just gave you HIV'

Police in Philadelphia have released surveillance video of a suspect who allegedly attacked and raped a young woman, then said "Ha ha, I just gave you HIV," before he fled. The 24-year-old woman was walking home from a friend's house just after midnight on Aug. 29 when she was approached from behind by a man who forced her into an alley, where he physically and sexually assaulted her, police said on the YouTube post. The man took her purse with her cellphone and ID in it and took off -- but not before he taunted her with the HIV comment, according to the victim's sister speaking to NBC10. Police told the news channel the "violent, unprovoked" attack may have lasted for hours, and it left the victim with head and facial injuries so severe "to the point of almost being unrecognizable."

It has rebranded itself as a dirty weekend resort after town hall officials voted to start embracing the saucy title.Residents in one of Germany's rudest places have been driven bonkers by the name, despite it helping to boost tourism in the area. Officials in Poppenhausen have now decided if you can't beat them, join them.  'We had lots of people coming to the town because of its name, because in German 'Poppen' is a slang word for making love,' explained a town hall spokesman. 'In the end we decided if you can't ban them, at least make them comfortable.'Day trippers are encouraged to take a stroll through a one mile long love lane situated in the middle of romantic woodland.Should they get tired; couples can take a rest on one of many heart shaped wooden seats.Alternatively they can test out the woodland's specially made sloped double benches for couples to do what comes naturally.Other exhibits to get visitors in the mood include a notice with how to say 'I Love You' in 100 different languages and a giant four leafed clover to bring newlyweds luck.Local tourism manager Andrea Muller explained: 'It's all about love and encouraging couples to relax.'
