PHOENIX - Police have arrested an Arizona man who filmed his 16-year-old nephew walking city streets dressed in a sheet and carrying a fake grenade launcher in an apparent bid to test police responses after the Denver theater shooting, authorities said on Wednesday. Michael David Turley, 39, was arrested on Monday over the making of the video, in which an unidentified narrator says he aims to “find out how safe I really am” in Phoenix following the July Denver shooting that killed 12 people and wounded

58.  The video depicts a man with a fake grenade launcher walking around a Phoenix intersection in what appears to be a blue sheet with dark material covering his head and face. The filmmaker said it took 15 minutes for police to respond.
'Weird-Frozen Dead Guy' festival to go on

DENVER - The frozen corpse that has inspired a Colorado town’s whimsical “Frozen Dead Guy Days” celebration may soon be put on ice somewhere else, but festival organizers said the body’s removal will not have a chilling effect on the annual event. “We will continue on whether or not Bredo Morstoel is here,” festival owner Amanda MacDonald s aid Wednesday of the man whose body has been packed in dry ice outside Nederland, Colorado, since 1993.

A financial dispute between Morstoel’s grandson, Tryve Bauge, and the man hired to replenish the dry ice on a monthly basis, Bo Shaffer, has led to Bauge threatening to move his grandfather’s body out of Colorado. Each month for 18 years, Shaffer has hauled 1,700 pounds (770 kg) of dry ice - c arbon dioxide in solid form - to a remote shed above Nederland to keep the corpse of Morstoel at minus-24 degrees Fahrenheit (minus-31 degrees Celsius) and in a state of cryonic suspension. But Shaffer said he quit after Bauge refused to pay for the rising costs of fuel and ice, which has made the endeavor unprofitable.

BRANTFORD, ONT. - There's one person in the area who is happy that NFL replacement officials botched a last-second call to give the Seattle Seahawks a victory over the Green Bay Packers Monday night. The Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corp. has confirmed a Proline ticket purchased in Brantford is worth $725,274 thanks to a perfect 15-for-15 prorogation of the NFL's third week. The OLG said the ticket has yet to be validated, and as a result, the winner's name has not been released. The windfall is the third highest Proline payday. The most a Proline ticket has paid out was $874,857 last December, followed by $759,465 won in October 2010.

Replays indicated that Packers cornerback M.D. Jennings had possession of a game-ending pass in the end zone, but referees awarded the catch to Seattle’s Golden Tate after the two wrestled for the ball on the turf.
Nice-Toronto school board web link offers kinky sex advice

ORONTO - An astounding link on the Toronto District School Board website which entices children to experiment sexually with vegetables has a Christian group calling for a criminal investigation.  It has a lot of others vexed, perplexed and scratching their heads. Who is behind the school board’s curtain pulling these curious strings? In the interest of protecting children, an outraged Dr. Charles McVety, president of Canada Christian College, has written Attorney General John Gerretsen and does not hold back on his animus and disgust.
“The TDSB — through its website — is corrupting Ontario’s children with extraordinary explicit instruction,” wrote McVety in a letter sent Wednesday. “It is the responsibility of the Ontario government to protect our children. According to Section 172 of the Criminal Code of Canada, it is an indictable offence to ‘endanger the morals of the child.’” Not one adult — no matter how liberal — I spoke with Wednesday seemed to have any background, knowledge, experience or reference point concerning sex with vegetables. Yet, on the TDSB site, you will find — under the heading Coalition for Positive Sexuality — a link called “Just Say Yes, pro sex” which champions encounters with vegetables and other experimental options.
“Most of us learn that our bodies, and our sex, are things to be ashamed of,” states the link. “Most of us learn that sex means a man on top of a woman, and that the only other choice is abstinence. But sex can be lots of things ... women have sex with women, men have sex with men, women have sex with men — and sometimes the best sex is with yourself!” It then says: “There are lots of safe and fun ways to get off, which you probably won’t learn in school ... don’t feel like you have to do everything on this page, but don’t feel like anything is automatically off limits either.”
It describes how an individual “could suck, kiss, touch, bite, fondle, nibble, squeeze and lick someone’s body, nipples, calves, toes, neck” and other areas. It talks of masturbation in front of the mirror, acting out fantasies and using sex toys. It was already way over the top to find a link like this on the TDSB website. But it’s the next passage that caught the eye of the eagle-eyed Blazing Cat Fur blogspot that has McVety and others concerned. “Play with your own or someone else’s a-- or vagina, put your fingers, dildoes, vegetables, or butt plugs into them,” is what it states.
Wow-Rare $2 bill expected to go for $20,000 at auction

TORONTO -- Whoa — inflation at 10,000 times original value! A $2 bill with a rare number-letter combination is expected to fetch up to $20,000 at a two-day Toronto auction.  The 1986-series bill with an AUH-prefix — the three letters before a seven-digit serial number — is one of only five known, said Canadian Paper Money Society vice-president Jared Stapleton, whose Toronto Coin Expo runs Friday and Saturday at the Toronto Reference Library, 789 Yonge St. Geoffrey Bell Auctions is running a coinciding

coin and currency sale on Thursday and Friday. Some people are content with low-grade older bills, but condition is often rough because “you’re dealing with a paper product and they can get damaged and soiled easily,” Stapleton said Wednesday. Anyone seeking currency and coins for investment should “collect the best.” Such guidelines can pay off.  A 1911 $500 bill featuring Queen Mary, wife of King George V, was saved from being shredded with old documents when the late owner’s relative spotted what turned out to be one of only three survivors. It sold for $322,000 four years ago. Bell sold a 1925 King George V $500 note sold in 2010 for $235,750.
What-Hotel worker arrested after being found 'having sex with a sofa'

A hotel worker has been arrested after being found 'having sex with a sofa’. Gerard Streator, 46, was allegedly seen bending over an abandoned yellow settee Waukesha city, Wisconsin.
